What fruits or vegetables are good as fruit bowl decorations? Received a fruit bowl as a present to be a center piece on my table. It comes with some fake fruit which looks terrible. What kind of fruit/vegetables would be acceptable as a centerpiece and would last a while if sitting out? Probably not bananas - they would go bad within days. Onions? Pomegranates?

How much fruit and vegetables should I be consuming daily? I usually go and pick my own fruit at the local orchard, which ensures that I eat it because it's rather expensive. Usually I'll put a bunch of blueberries and blackberries in my cereal, then halfway through the day eat a peach, sometimes two if I get a little hungry towards the late evening. Are fruit and vegetable tablets actually the same as fruit and vegetables? I don't always eat fruit. And we cater to our 2 yr old and 4 yr old meaning sometimes vegetables consist of 1 serving of corn, peas, or green beans per day. Once in a while we get bags of baby carrots...but they're gone in a day...sometimes two (my 4 yr old loves them too). I don't like cauliflower, but like just about any other veggie (not onions, though, and any odd one I've never tried). So I don't have issues with eating them...it's just keeping them in the house sometimes that's the problem. I get a bunch of bananas and they're gone in 2 days flat. So are the tablets out there worth any good?

What to do with expired vegetables and fruit? I often times do not eat the fruits and vegetables I buy fast enough, and end up throwing them away. I know I could make a compost pile, but I haven't tried that yet. Would it just be okay to put it outside in the woods for animals/bugs to eat? Is there a way I could make a smoothie with 3 servings of fruit and 3 servings of vegetables? I've been trying to eat more fruits & vegetables lately. I'm realizing that it's easy for me to eat at least two servings of fruit each day, and at least two servings of vegetables each day. Very rarely do I get 5 servings of each like you're supposed to. This is done every week and today I had enough, I told this person that they should feel ashame of taking Advantage of selling inferior produce to senior citizens. Her reply was "If ya don't like it ya don't have to buy it. My question is do you have to be to sell produce in NJ. Everyday I see seniors citizens being taking advantage of but for the most part it is beyond my control. Hopefully in this situation I can do something.
